unlocking all the skills
I think the skill crafters are gone from the march bwe. So does that mean skill rings are gone too? If so, how are you going to get 150 skill points per char to unlock all the skills? Since it cost you a skill point to buy a capture signet and one skill point whenever you buy something from the skill vendors.

Yes, all skill rings and skill charms are gone unless you have one left over from the Feb BWE.
Getting all 150 skills available to your character will take a while. By my calculations you get 2 for every mission (1 for primary, 1 for secondary objectives, 25 missions) and 1 for every level from lvl 2-20. You do get a few skills in pre-searing Ascalon without needing skill points so that cuts it down by approx 14 skill points (2 x 3 attrbiute trainers + 2 right formt eh guy just outside the gates). This brings us to 83 skill points(or skills earned), close to half way, but still along way from 150. Maybe the other 67 skill points will have to be gained through gaining "levels" past lvl 20 (not really gaining a level, just another skill point), but maybe they will have another way of getting those skill points. |

from the site The bottom line is that you could have a primary character who has experimented with all five available secondary professions. That character will likely have good stock of skills in each of those lines. In fact, that character could have every skill in each of the five available secondaries. The character then, in ways not yet to be revealed, will be able to shift to a different secondary and take advantage of a long history of roleplaying character development. i guess skill crafter = charm crafter. and when i say skill vendor, i mean those ppl who we can buy skills from.
leveling past lvl 20 is actually kinda hard or i should say time consuming. i'm one of the ppl that would like to collect all 150 skills for my current char. i hope they institute something feasible to help use unlock all these skills. even if we're allowed to change secondaries, we still new skill points to unlock the vast majorities of the skills. for those of you that's been around for awhile, are they bringing back the wandering monk? is that how we're changing secondaries? and if you still have skill rings, you can't use them without charm crafters. |
